“Jesus answered and said unto them, `Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive'” (Matthew 21:21,22).
“And Jesus answering saith unto them, `Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them'” (Mark 11:22-24).
“Then Jesus told them, `Truly, if you have faith, and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this Mount of Olives, “Move over into the ocean,” and it will. You can get anything–anything you ask for in prayer–if you believe'” (Matthew 21:21,22 TLB).
“In reply Jesus said to the disciples, `If you only have faith in God–this is the absolute truth–you can say to this Mount of Olives, “Rise up and fall into the Mediterranean,” and your command will be obeyed. All that’s required is that you really believe and have no doubt! Listen to me! You can pray for anything, and if you believe, you have it; it’s yours!'” (Mark 11:22-24 TLB).
Obviously God desires our faith to be militant, aggressive, bold, daring to believe; faith that spurs us to pray, to ask from God what He longs to give, but deliberately waits for us to ask from Him.
Likewise, we must ask according to His will. But what is His will? Read God’s Word! All of God’s Word is His will! Read it prayerfully, exercising your faith, conversing with God about it, listening, heeding, hearkening and then asking in faith!
Abiding in Him and He in you, through His Word you can know what pleases Him. Then you can be bold to pray for anything, and if you believe, you have it, it is yours!
Let’s you and I pray:
“Father, I dare to exercise the little faith You have given me. You have encouraged me greatly through these verses.
I am therefore saying to this mountain-size problem that imprisons me,
“Go, take a jump into the ocean and sink out of sight!”
Thank You Father, according to Your Word, as I believed, it shall be done.
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, who taught me to pray this way. Amen.
