When you read the Psalms you will notice how often the psalmist bursts into praise. He praises God time and again. Of all the 66 books of the Bible, the book of Psalms contains more praises to God than any other; over 200 times the psalmists praise God.

A Time to Live and a Time to Die

Toward the latter part of 1988, Lena Reynolds did not feel well. She had to be taken to the hospital. They found she had pneumonia. On the third day of her hospitalization she went into coma for three months! Her condition deteriorated steadily until one night they could not find her pulse at all.

Pray the Greatest Prayer Ever Prayed

Scripture Reading: The entire 17th chapter of John.

Just before He was captured and executed, Jesus prayed.

That prayer is now considered to be the greatest prayer ever prayed, the prayer of prayers.

It will be good for us to highlight a few of our Lord’s extraordinary requests to the Father.

A Very Short Prayer

“…Yes, Lord…” (Mark 7:28m).

We do well not to argue with the Lord, but be quick to agree with Him.

Blast Them!

“God, break their teeth in their mouth! Cut them to pieces!

Back in 1950 I had heard a pastor making fun of old ladies reading the psalms. He said that real Christian masculine men should read the New Testament instead. But, as I read the Psalms again I discovered he was wrong.

God is With Us

In Arad, Romania, on June 5 of 1992, I was very uncomfortable with a six day constipation due to the poor Rumanian diet I had been eating–lots of meat and bread–not enough vegetables. So I went to see a Christian physician.

At the clinic, Dr Lydia Popa MD introduced me to her husband Doru Popa,

You Can Get Anything You Ask For in Prayer

“Jesus answered and said unto them, `Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea;
