God’s Reminders

“…as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee. I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence, and give Him no rest, till he establish,

Lost and Found in Poland

In 1985, when the Iron Curtain had not yet rusted and crumbled down, I had preached in several cities in Spain and France, when Dave, a preacher in England, invited me to travel with him to Poland.

Soon I folded myself into Dave’s little car and we ferried the English Channel.

My Daddy!

“And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father” (Galatians 4:6).

When the English translators came to this verse, their religious protocol made them reluctant to use the true translation of the Hebrew term of endearment,

Persistent Praying in Mexico

It was in 1983 that I met Fidel Hernandez in Oaxaca, Mexico. Before becoming a Christian he was a TV actor, famous but miserable. Yearly he would draw record viewing on the tube with his impersonation of Christ during His crucifixion and resurrection. Every Easter the newspapers would carry a picture of him with a crown of thorns and carrying a cross,

All the Promises of God are Valid in Him

“For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in Him was yea. For all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us”

Sudden Death in Uruguay

In our 1989 trip to Uruguay, South America, I ministered in five different cities. One of these was Colonia, founded by the Spaniards, years before the Mayflower unloaded the pilgrims on American soil. God greatly blessed my daily ministry in that city.

After the conclusion of the preaching series,

God, You Said…

(God tells us): “Return to the land of your fathers, and to your relatives and I will be with you”  (Genesis 31:3).

“And Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, the Lord which saidst unto me,

The Great Finder in Belize

In November 1982 I was preaching in Central America. Visiting a prominent Christian leader, I asked him who, in Belize, had won the largest number of people to Christ. He immediately told me of a little Kekchi Indian who lives in the jungle. God had done a great missionary work through him.

I Don’t Know What to Pray For

Scripture Reading (God says to you and me the following):  “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered” (Romans 8:26).

You don’t know what to say when you pray?

Real Humility in Romania

“But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 1:30,31).

I was born on April 5,
